The Petrov Wine cellar and the Pohoda Dormitory, Strážnice Petrov
A traditional get-together in the Slovácko area with traditional live music (traditional music Slovácko), delicious meals and continuous good mood (wine cellars Slovácko – Petrov). All those are offered by the Wine cellars Petrov 4 and 10 (winegrowing Petrov). The wine cellars Petrov are located in the part of Petrov - Plže (wine cellars with accommodation Petrov - Plže), in the south-western preserved area of the Bílé Karpaty (winegrowing in preserved area Bílé Karpaty). Petrov is mainly known for its unique number of original wine cellars – Plže, which was declared as a sightseeing preserved area of folklore architecture in 1983 (Slovácko – Petrov culture). The environment of Petrov – Plže is really impressive and worth visiting. Next to this, you can also take a voyage to the village, as there is the Baťa´s channel going through Petrov (voyage Baťa´s channel).
The making of the local winery area stared in the 15th century, there are about 80 rich-decorated wine cellars to be seen today, (winegrowing history) creating a street with two squares – there are various cultural events held every summer in the upper one. (cultural events Petrov, Slovácko).
If you irresistibly feel like tasting wine, the willing staff will prepare a guided wine tasting (guided wine tasting Petrov). You will taste more than 15 kinds of wine during the tasting and there are special prices of tasting for seniors (holidays for seniors Slovácko – Petrov). If you get hungry, the cellar staff will arrange open bufet for you (wine tasting with refreshment Petrov).

A part of the Wine cellars Petrov- Plže is also a newly reconstructed dormitory called Pohoda – Petrov (cheap and comfortable accommodation Petrov, South Moravia). The dormitory offers cheap and comfortable accommodation in two five-bed-rooms. Each room disposes of its own sanitary facility (accommodation with own sanitary facility Slovácko).
