Horská chata PORTÁŠKY, Velká Úpa
Running all year long in the 2nd zone of the National park of Krkonoše, built on the top of a hill (with 3-seat cable and 4 downhills, 2.000, 1.100, 650 and 250m) above Velká Úpa in 1.050 m above sea level and with the clear view of a countryside and Pec pod Sněžkou (see the picture). It is ready to provided its various service for: skiers, tourists, families with kids, companies, ski courses, schools in nature and all this on the fresh alpine air.
In the chalet there is a restaurant with a bar, a dining room, a game room with a possiblity of table tennis and football, billiard, dartboard or you can take advantage of a sauna with an indoor swimming pool at the chalet. In winter downhill skiing – the hills are artificially snowed, we also have a snowboardpark on the hill just for snowboarders, cross-country skiing routes, snow scooter rides etc. In summer the main touristic route to Sněžka is passing by the house, possibility of cycling, we have a children’s trampoline, barbecue with a view just like at the master of our mountains – Krakonoš.
The cable centre is the unique matter of its kind. It supports the movement, helps the concentration, degrades the fear from heights, strenghtens the team work and the trust in the other human being as well. In the Czech Republic there are altogether 9 cable centres, they are open to wide public, schools and companies. Our program can be experienced by small kids, whole families with kids or bigger groups. We guarantee the uncommon experience which you will remenber for a long time and perhaps you will come back.
