The hotel was opened in December 2009 and builds on the successful concept of the medieval tavern, which opens up a brand new dimension of adventure tourism. Unusual and fascinating stay is enhanced by original medieval atmosphere and the original space solution. Into your room you will be accompanied by a torchbearer, in the hotel reception you will meet a beggar and you'll be greeted by a surly odd monk and smiling witch. But be careful! In the hotel it haunts at day and night, so it is not inconceivable that you will be a little afraid here ...
The hotel offers accommodation in 42 tastefully furnished rooms, where you absorb the true atmosphere of the dark ages. After picking up a metal doorknob you walk into the room with a wooden ceiling, where you can smell lavender and dried flowers. Massive beams beds with striped blankets, wooden chests, hand-carved wooden bowls, warm flame torches and candles everywhere motifs the real atmosphere of the Middle Ages. In each room there is the originally designed bathroom, where toilet seemingly looks like a dry latrine and in the shower you will find a watering can instead of a shower. You will be surely surprised even by a stone trough for washing hands. The price includes a rich medieval breakfast.
The zoo in Liberec is the oldest zoo in the former area of Czechoslovakia. It was founded in 1919 and presently it can be proud cca 170 animal species of the total number of nearly 1.000 specimen. Except for the wide exposition in particular specific pavilions (the pavilions of giraffes, elephants, beasts, monkeys or trops) we ensure tutorials for schools, and you can also find here the wide offer of ecological educational programms. In the lower part of the zoo you can get on a small train, the favourite department is also the contact zoo where the visitors can even pet or feed some animals.
